Crackdown USA

batten down the hatches conscripted inhibited literature put out in perfect penmanship kept in where it can't be denied can't be belied and rely upon the emptiness of mind that comes from the product of massive repercusisions
there was flooding from the hilltops and panic on the ground there were lost forsaken strangers running all around there were cowboys killing horses and cities shutting down there were wells worth a' springing and snow covered clowns
they were passing off as parsons leading whole big towns they were leading lambs to slaughter and killing farmers daughters there was mayhem on the busses I don't see what the fuss is
gonna be some misery when no roots will take to ground you can keep yourself from aging but ain't no mistaking the awful brand of courage makes this wayward world go round

Beautiful. I especially liked the last line, "Ain't no mistaking the awful brand of courage makes this wayward world go round." I am feeling a need for an awful brand of courage to keep my world goin' round right now. :-)
