Timeline

I got to thinking about timelines. How long does it take for this for that. I googled British Royalty and got a somewhat answer. From the time of the Middle Ages to the time the Puritans took off from mother Angleterre and her newly moderne (hedonistic) ideas including a yuck on for Catholicism and a love on for Royal Mistresses to create New England, less people reigned than exist in my circle of friends. It only took (I forget the actual number now) about 20 - 25 people reigning a lifetime to span this period. Consider all of the wars and stillborn babies and plaques and implentation of things like sewer systems and parliaments and count the lifetimes and it just doesn't seem that long. That we are connected to our ancestors just isn't that crazy because generations last a long long time while history seems forever ago, it really wasn't.
What was forever ago was the here & now that just left. The changing of the guard of the present within one's own little scope of the universe has so much more a drastic effect. Time is so arbitrary. Everthing is so connected.
