I love my new humidifier. It is not silent as the box says, it whirrrrrrrrrrrs, but a small blue light lights the cool mist in the dark. But I love it.

just yesterday i was thinking how perfect an humidifier would be in my room, which can be like a dry dry sauna on cold days, due to electric heat.
I usually just end up putting a bowl of water on the heater. It is, I'm sure, no where near as good.
I have a similar humidifier and love it, too. And am actual thankful for the subtle whir. It covers up the sound of my dog snoring! :-)
